Goodbye 2009 - Hello 2010!

Citynet had a very exciting year in 2009. 

We provided services to more customers than ever before; introduced a number of exciting new products and services; and our customer care center (we call it our Technical Support Center) was recognized and awarded as a World Class customer center – of which we are very proud!

2009 was certainly year to remember for the challenges that the economic climate brought our way.  That having been said, 2009 has been a very positive year for Citynet.  Despite the economic conditions around the state, the country and in our industry, we continued to find new customers, new revenue streams, and bigger and better opportunities - while at the same time controlling or reducing costs.  From a revenue perspective, despite an expected downward trend in dial-up customers, the sales team continued to deliver strong growth in circuit sales and managed services revenue.  On the cost side of things, we saw various departments throughout the company make major pushes to achieve superior results.  The result of these achievements was that Citynet was able to achieve positive financial results that we can build on going into 2010!

Also in 2009, our technicians gained additional, professional certifications from Cisco Systems, Microsoft, and ColdFusion – just to name a few.  Citynet and our people are certified to provide all levels of service and product support that any customer will require, and we do it in a very old fashioned manner. 

Unlike nearly all other companies today, when you need help (or just a question answered) from us at Citynet, a real live person at our Bridgeport, West Virginia Technical Support Center (TSC) answers your questions – most often without needing to transfer you to another person.  This one-on-one, personal customer service is a hallmark for Citynet. 

During 2009, our TSC earned two prestigious awards/recognitions.  The first came from Cisco Systems who recognized Citynet with the highest distinction a Cisco partner can achieve: Cisco Customer Satisfaction Excellence.  This honor is based upon the highest customer satisfaction levels by a Cisco Certified Partner and is further proof of Citynet's commitment to the success of our valued customers.

The second honor came from the Customer Service Institute of America (CSIA) representing the International Council of Customer Service Organizations (ICCSO).  The ICCSO has awarded Citynet their Small Business, 2009 International Service Excellence Award. 

Citynet is proud of the recognition, but we are more proud of our extremely talented people.  Everyone at Citynet is personally committed to providing “World Class Customer Service”.  While the recent awards show that we are on the right track, our customers are the best awards we have.  Thank you for your business and your continued support.  We look forward to serving you in 2010 and beyond.
